Squalo lo attacca, surfista si salva cavandogli gli occhi

Un nuotatore in Australia, azzannato a una gamba da uno squalo bianco di 4 metri, è riuscito a fargli mollare la presa ficcandogli un dito in un occhio. E’ poi stato aiutato a trarsi in salvo da una bagnina che lo ha raggiunto e portato fino a riva. Jason Cull di 37 anni ha raccontato oggi la sua avventura, meravigliandosi di essere ancora vivo, dal suo letto nell’ospedale di Albany, dove è stato operato d’urgenza per profonde lacerazioni alla gamba sinistra.

Il racconto - L’attacco è avvenuto sabato nelle acque prospicienti la popolare spiaggia di Middleton a sud di Perth, in Australia occidentale. Cull ha raccontato così quanto è accaduto quando lo squalo lo ha attaccato: “gli ho tirato dei pugni, ma mi ha preso per una gamba e mi ha trascinato sott’acqua. Passandogli una mano sulla testa ho trovato un occhio e gli ho ficcato un dito dentro, e allora ha mollato la presa”.

In Italia si pagano tantissime tasse, ma quella varata dal governo estone, che colpisce tutti gli allevatori di bovini, ancora manca. Tutti i proprietari di mucche e tori del Paese, stando a quanto divulgato dall’agenzia russa RIA Novisti, hanno di recente ricevuto delle cartelle esattoriali tramite le quali viene chiesto il pagamento di una non meglio specificata somma a titolo di risarcimento per le scoregge dei propri animali.

Le emissioni di gas da parte dei bovini, infatti, sono una delle principali fonti dell’inquinamento che causa poi l’ormai noto effetto serra: un singolo animale, quotidianamente, è in grado di generare fino a 350 litri di metano e questo rende l’aria delle città irrespirabile. Il problema, nonostante possa sembrare ridicolo, è reale e la stessa Unione europea valuta già da anni l’ipotesi di introdurre la medesima tassa in tutti gli stati membri.

Anche l’Australia è impegnata a risolvere il problema dei bovini scoreggioni. Un’equipe di scienziati sta lavorando ad un batterio che, introdotto nello stomaco dei ruminanti dovrebbe rendere i peti dei ruminanti meno “pericolosi”.
