Rappresenta l’albero maestro delle navi vichinghe la torre Lego più alta del mondo. Realizzata per festeggiare i 50 anni dell’azienda. La costruzione si erge per 30,5 metri ed è formata da 500mila mattoncini colorati, messi insieme in sezioni da 20 centimetri da vari gruppi di bambini nel parco di divertimenti Legoland a Windsor, nel Berkshire inglese.

I mattoncini assemblati dai bambini- Le squadre di ingegneri in erba hanno lavorato alacremente e con entusiasmo per quattro giorni, intenti ad assemblare le parti che poi sono state unite insieme e aggiunte alla struttura con una gru. Il risultato di questo lavoro di equipe è una variopinta costruzione che arriva fino al cielo e che fa bella mostra di sé per la gioia di grandi e piccini.

Battuto il record di Toronto - La torre dei record ha superato in altezza un’altra costruzione simile realizzata l’anno scorso a Toronto e che però misurava solo 29,3 metri. Una grande soddisfazione per Penny Jenkins, manager degli eventi speciali del parco, che a proposito dell’impresa ha detto di essere eccitato per aver battuto, con tanto di certificazione degli esperti, il record precedente e di aver portato questo a Legoland Windsor. Un modo meraviglioso per festeggiare i 50 anni di un’azienda che ha fatto giocare e crescere milioni di bambini nel mondo.
